In every production plant, labelling is an extremely important process. Applicable regulations require manufacturers to include a range of information on their products, enabling consumers to make informed purchasing decisions. Some of this data is placed directly on the packaging, and in some cases also in a leaflet included with the product. However, some information must be included on a label applied by a special labelling machine, known as a labeller. The issue is that the basic functionality of these devices only allows them to handle ready-made, i.e. already printed, labelling elements. If, however, such a labeller is integrated with a printer, its capabilities are significantly increased.
A label printer intended for industrial applications should be characterised by reliability and high-quality printed marks, while also ensuring adequate print speed. This type of printer applies data to the label surface by releasing pigment from the ribbon under high temperature and pressing it onto the material’s surface.
