What are portable dot peen markers and how do they work?

Dot peen method

A carbide or diamond stylus precisely strikes the material, creating a permanent and virtually indelible mark from a series of dots.
Precision drive

In selected models, the marking process is triggered by controlled electromagnetic pulses – without the use of compressed air.
Full mobility

The lightweight design allows the operator to conveniently mark large and heavy components directly on the shop floor.
Code versatility

The device permanently applies letters, numbers, graphic symbols, and industrial DataMatrix codes.

Automotive and transport

Permanent marking of engine blocks, gearboxes, and large assemblies directly on assembly lines and production stations.

Permanent marking of profiles, pipes, and sheet metal. The marked designations are resistant to subsequent technological processes, including painting and galvanizing.

Fast stamping of legible rating plates and marking of product series for full traceability.

The way how single peen create a complex data such as letters, digits, graphics or Data Matrix codes made of multiplied dots is basically done by carbide or diamond peen body hit over the surface. This process is run only by electromagnetic impulse, excluding need of compressed air.
