For our client in the beer production industry, we designed a solution for labeling glass bottles around their circumference, combined with thermal transfer printing.
Browar Sulewski was founded in 2010, in a building that once housed an old military casino. Starting out as a small family brewery combined with a restaurant and pub, it now produces 6 types of beer. Co-owner of the brewery — Mr. Tomasz Sulewski — gained his brewing knowledge in Bavaria itself, where he trained among some of the world’s best brewers.
Passion combined with dedication led the Sulewski family to build a second, larger brewery with a new production line. Several types of beer are now brewed there, each with a different label showing the printed expiry date.

“The first thing a customer sees is the label. Serving both an informational and marketing role, it helps customers find our product. That’s why it’s so important for the application and data to be of the highest quality.” — Tomasz Sulewski, co-owner of Browar Sulewski

Challenges facing the team:
- Circumferential labeling of glass bottles with thermal transfer printing
- Several types of beer, each with a different label and an individual expiry date
- High quality requirements — the label as a key element of brand image
- The need to adapt the device to a new, larger production line

Solution: Intrex SET 2091 PLUS labeling system
We designed and implemented a device precisely tailored to the needs of the new production line (a bottle labeling machine).
The Intrex SET 2091 PLUS labeling system is based on a rotary star wheel module, applying labels at a throughput of up to 6000 products per hour while maintaining application stability and repeatability. Despite its compact size, the Domino V120i thermal transfer printer allows label content to be supplemented with variable data, such as the production date and batch number. The use of an enlarged label unwinder enables longer operation on a single roll of labels without costly downtime caused by material changes.
Implementation results
- High labeling performance – up to 100 products per minute
- Rotary transport module ensuring product stability and repeatable application of the Intrex printed label
- SMART Panel – an intuitive control panel that lets you operate all machine functions and the entire labeling process from one place
- Clear and durable print on the label

- Throughput of up to 6000 products per hour without loss of application stability
- Rotary star module ensuring labeling repeatability even at high speeds
- Domino V120i thermal transfer printer enabling variable data printing (production date, batch number) despite its compact dimensions
- Enlarged label unwinder — longer operation without costly downtime for material changeovers
- Intrex SMART Panel — full control of the entire process from one place
The cooperation with Browar Sulewski shows that even in small-scale craft production, labeling precision and quality have a real impact on brand image — and properly selected automation makes it possible to combine high efficiency with the individual character of each brewed beer.
