What is labelling on packaging machines?

Integration in the packaging cycle

The label application process on film packaging is most commonly performed before the final forming and sealing of the material, depending on the type and design of the packaging machine.
Cross-web Systems

Cross-web solutions (e.g., Intrex Cross-web) enable label application perpendicular to the film feed direction. Depending on the configuration, this allows for single or multi-row labeling in one cycle.
Operation Synchronization

The applicator's operation is closely synchronized with the master machine cycle, receiving synchronization signals directly from PLC systems or external encoders.
Dedicated Mounting Solutions

Process stability and label positioning repeatability are based on dedicated mounting systems, custom-designed for each specific machine model.

Roll-fed and Thermoforming Machines

Batch marking of food, technical, or medical products (in selected applications also before the sterilization process), during tray forming from film.
Flowpack Machines

Dynamic application of labels on barrier film before forming a flexible packaging sleeve for serial products.
Traysealer Equipment

Precise label application on top film (lidding film) used to seal and hermetically close finished trays with product.
Package Appearance Control

Applying labels to stable, flat sections of material significantly reduces the risk of wrinkles, air bubbles, or graphics misalignment.
