Intrex faced the task of implementing a new project related to the automatic labeling of chocolate bar plaques for one of the leading chocolate and confectionery manufacturers in Europe.
Challenges facing the team:
- Automatic labeling of chocolate bars in universal packaging with different labels
- Integration of an efficient 3-line system with the existing production line
- Minimal operator involvement required
- No limitation on the line’s existing throughput
Solution:
The excellently equipped, highly productive machine park required the most advanced solutions to ensure maximum productivity with minimal operator involvement. To meet these requirements, we implemented three interconnected conveyors with 3 pairs of labeling machines operating continuously in a non-stop system. INTREX 300+ labeling heads equipped with servo motors were used. Additionally, the machine was fitted with 3 sensors to check label presence, 3 highly efficient servo-driven rejection stations, and a collection conveyor for rejected products.

- Three independent labeling lines operating non-stop without interruptions
- INTREX 300+ print heads with servo motors for high precision and performance
- Full quality control thanks to 3 label presence sensors and 3 reject stations
- Automatic speed synchronization with adjacent machines in the line
- A solution so effective that the client ordered another, similar device
This project demonstrates that even with very high performance requirements and minimal operator involvement, a properly designed non-stop system can seamlessly integrate with an existing production line — and the customer’s trust in placing further orders is the best proof of its effectiveness.
