Four companies, one solution – palletizing automation redefined
Modern automation isn’t just about technology — it’s about teamwork, precision, and attention to detail. In our latest project, four companies joined forces to deliver an integrated palletizing system that brings together robotics, materials, automation, and engineering expertise. The result: an intelligent palletizing solution based on Intrex Easy Stack, enhanced with CGP’s EXCALIBUR module and anti-slip paper from Logispak.Efektem tego połączenia jest inteligentny system paletyzacji oparty na Easy Stack od Intrex, wzbogacony o moduł EXCALIBUR od CGP Coating Innovation i papier antypoślizgowy dostarczony przez Logispak.
Case Study
The Challenge
During the implementation for Soudal Polska, a leading construction chemicals manufacturer, we encountered a common but critical challenge: Cartons arrived on the conveyor in various orientations, including some rotated 180°, making standard palletizing impossible. At the same time, the process had to remain fully automated, with no manual repositioning or downtime.
The Solution
Our response was a fully integrated system combining:
Intrex Easy Stack – a flexible palletizer with Universal Robots cobot and dedicated Easy Stack Designer software for fast layer design,
CGP’s EXCALIBUR module – automatically cutting and inserting anti-slip sheets between carton layers,
Logispak anti-slip paper, ensuring perfect layer stability and safe transport.
The system maintains continuous operation even with irregular carton orientations, guaranteeing precision, safety, and high throughput — all without operator intervention.
Technology behind the system
Easy Stack – the core of the solution
Intrex Easy Stack enables automatic palletizing on two pallets in parallel, with complete freedom of layout design. It features a height-adjustable column, a dedicated safety system, and the intuitive Easy Stack Designer interface — allowing quick configuration of new stacking patterns directly by the operator.
EXCALIBUR – precision in every sheet
CGP’s EXCALIBUR module automatically feeds and cuts tie-sheets from a roll, placing them between layers of cartons. By integrating with the palletizing cycle, it ensures load stability and reduces the risk of slippage during handling and transport.
Logispak – the small detail that makes a big impact
Logispak supplies the anti-slip paper used in the process — a small but crucial component ensuring that each pallet remains perfectly stable. In automation, such subtle elements often define whether the entire system operates efficiently, safely, and reliably.
Results
Fully automated palletizing without manual correction
Higher load stability due to anti-slip interlayers
Reduced downtime and errors from rotated cartons
Improved safety and ergonomics for operators
Modular scalability – easily adaptable to new product formats
Collaboration as the key to innovation
