Modern automation is not just about technology — it’s also about collaboration, adaptability, and trust between partners. In our latest project, we showed how four companies, each representing different areas of expertise, can create a cohesive system that combines robotics, materials, automation, and integration experience.
The result of this collaboration is an intelligent palletizing system based on Easy Stack from Intrex, enhanced with the EXCALIBUR module from CGP Coating Innovation and anti-slip paper supplied by Logispak.
Challenges facing the team:
- Cartons arriving on the line in varying orientations, some rotated by 180°
- Standard palletizing is not possible given this level of variability
- Requirement for full automation — no manual position correction
- The need to operate without stopping the line
Solution: Easy Stack + EXCALIBUR by Intrex
The response to these challenges was the implementation of a comprehensive system based on:
- Intrex Easy Stack – a flexible palletizer working with a Universal Robots robot, featuring in-line dividers that rotate cartons, equipped with dedicated Easy Stack Designer software enabling the creation of various pallet layouts
- EXCALIBUR module from CGP Coating Innovation – automatically feeding anti-slip sheets between layers of cartons
- Anti-slip paper from Logispak, ensuring stability and safety of every layer
By combining these technologies, the line operates fully automatically, and the cobot can place cartons in different orientations without losing precision. The entire system was calibrated to maintain high efficiency and stability regardless of packaging geometry.
Implementation results
- Fully automated palletizing with no need for manual intervention
- Increased stability of stacked layers thanks to anti-slip sheets
- Reduction of downtime and errors resulting from varying carton arrangements
- Improved work safety and ergonomics for operators
- Flexibility and scalability — the ability to adapt pallet layouts to new product formats

The Easy Stack + EXCALIBUR project demonstrates that automation is the result of synergy. Each partner contributed something unique:
- Intrex – system integration and control
- Universal Robots – cobot flexibility
- CGP Coating Innovation – experience in load stabilization
- Logispak – materials without which maintaining stability would not be possible
This proves that innovation doesn’t always lie in the technology itself, but in combining people, ideas, and details that create a coherent, functional solution.
